3rd Annual The Heat is On: 5K & Fun Run...

Main Street Middletown’s 3r^d Annual The Heat Is On: 5K & Fun Run takes off on Saturday, August 26 at 8 am.  Our 5K loop takes you through our 249 year-old historic downtown with awesome views to the Appalachian Mountains.  This course has a balance of rolling hills and flat stretches through Middletown Park, yet will challenge you to beat your personal 5K record.  Plus, the course has a downhill ending!  Not only will you be running for your health, but race proceeds will be helping fund a planned park on West Main Street in Middletown, as well as helping support Main Street Middletown, your local community organization that plans community events in Middletown.  Post-race festivities and awards will be at Rockstar Fitness.

RACE PACKET PICK-UP:  
Friday August 25th, 5 pm - 7 pm at Middletown Municipal Center (31 W. Main St)

RACE DAY:
7:30 am -Pre-Race stretching and warm-ups led by Rockstar Fitness
Race begins at 8 am
Fun Run at 8:30 am
Post race awards and activities at Rockstar Fitness!

Awards for 1st and 2nd place in each age category:

• 13 and under
• 14-18
• 19-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60-69
• 70 and over!

Kids 8 and under can participate in the Fun Run at no charge!  All will receive a Participation Award.

Parking: 
Free parking available at the Municipal Parking Lot behind the Municipal Center at 31 West Main Street, and the Elm Street Parking lot just west of Dempsey’s Grille at 116 West Main Street.  On-street parking will not be available.
