Description

The Grand Rapids Walk to Stop HIV (formerly AIDS Walk + Run) is an annual fundraising event dedicated to raising money to support services related to education and elimination of HIV/AIDS in the Greater Grand Rapids area. Each year, this event raises thousands of dollars to support local, life-saving HIV prevention services.

On September 9, hundreds of walkers will participate in a 5K walk along the Grand River in Grand Rapids. Participants will be forming teams and raising money. All money raised from participants will go directly to supporting the mission of the Grand Rapids Red Project.

The Red Project is a local, independent organization whose mission is to prevent HIV, reduce risk, and improve health. Each year, Red Project reaches thousands in Grand Rapids with the tools and information to prevent HIV, fight stigma, and support those living with HIV. Funds and awareness raised through the Walk to Stop HIV are key to achieving our mission in Grand Rapids.
