The inaugural Shucker Shuffle 7 is a Seven Mile run over the beautiful Biloxi Bay on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The race continues through the scenic, oak tree lined streets of Ocean Springs before making the trek back over the Gulf. The route is both challenging (hills) and peaceful (shaded flat city streets) in the same race. If the the 7 miles is too daunting an endeavor for the avid 5K runner, team up with a friend and participate in the relay event. Finally, the Shucker Shuffle features a military division in which the many Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, and Coasties who serve in the region can determine who is the fastest.
After the race, come back to Ocean Springs to enjoy the many restaurants, bars, and quaint shopping establishments that make this city unique.
Packet pick up will be available on Thursday and Friday evenings at several of the restaurant sponsors in downtown Ocean Springs. Race packets will also be available on race day between 6:00 and 7:30 AM at the Point Cadet Pavilion.
Parking will be available at several locations to be determined later.
The race will start promptly at 8:00 at the Golden Nugget Casino Entrance with corals starting every 30 seconds to regulate runner congestion.
The weather in the Mississippi Gulf Coast will most likely be warm and humid at the start of the race turning to hot and humid by race end.
