• 4.6 Mile Run:- Run 4.6 Miles

Come join us to raise money for Kila School, while we celebrate and remember loved ones who have gone before us!  We will begin this 1st Annual Light To Remember Fun Run/Walk at Kila Community Park!  From there, we will head along the scenic "Rails To Trails" walking path, continue along Smith Lake, all the while surrounded by magical Luminaries!  Finally, we will approach Smith Lake Boat Launch, where you will be given a Floating Lantern to write a message to your loved one(s), and send it afloat in beautiful Smith Lake!  For those of you who want to do only "one way" (2.3 miles), MT Trolly Co. Train will be there to bus you back to Kila Community Park.  For those of you interested in the "roundtrip" (4.6 miles), we will then head back around Smith Lake, admiring the beautiful Floating Laterns and lit Luminaries along the way!  We will make our way back to "Rails To Trails" walking path, and cross the finish line back at Kila Community Park!  We will CELEBRATE with MUSIC and FUN, remembering our loved and the life that they shared with us!  We hope you can join us for the 1st Annual Light To Remember Fun Run/Walk!

Event details and schedule

Registration and check-in will begin at 6:00 pm, and the Light To Remember Fun Run/Walk will begin at 7:30 pm, just as the sun is starting to set, allowing us to enjoy the beautifully lit Luminaries and amazing Floating Laterns!  Parking will be at Kila School Parking Lot and/or Track/Field.  Come early to enjoy the cozy Kila Pub, for dinner or "1/2 OFF drinks" for those who are participating, or just to admire the beautiful scenic landscape of a small community, prior to the race!  A Memory Board will be available to post a picture of your loved one(s), so don't forget to bring a picture with you!  The entire route is stroller and wheelchair accessible, although the Smith Lake Boat Launch may be a bit "bumpy"!  The Light To Remember Fun Run/Walk is a non-timed event.  Hope to see you there!
