Bimbo Bakeries is hosting its 3rd Annual Global Energy Race on September 24th, 2017.

                                  38 Cities, 21 Countries, 1 Goal.

Philadelphia is one of five lucky cities in the U.S., that will be participating in this Global event. Penn's Landing is the waterfront area of Center City along the Delaware River which will play host to our Philadelphia race this year. 

Whether you're a competitive runner or looking to come out with your family and enjoy a morning of fun and games, this race is for you! Global Energy offers a 10K route the competitive runners looking for a USATF certified course or a 5K route perfect for those looking to enjoy a nice run/walk of the scenic course with their friends.

10K Individual:

5K Individual:

$10.00 early registration (June 16th)

$15.00 open registration (August 1st)

$25.00 race day registration (*must register onsite)

5K Group/Team: (Min 4 & up to 8 members)

$20.00 (*5K distance only)

Packet Pick-up:

Packet pickup will be held at the Philadelphia Runner store location in University city located at: 3621 Walnut Street Philadelphia, PA

• Friday, September 22nd (12:00pm - 6:00pm)
• Saturday, September 23rd (1:00pm - 5:00pm)

Race Day pickup will be offered starting at 6:00am until 7:15am- must come early if you plan on picking up at the race.

Course Info:

10K- Will be a USATF certified course. Chip timing will be used for 10K & 5K.

The race will kick off right next to the Great Plaza which is one of the city's premier locations for outdoor concerts and festivals. This race location offers panoramic views of the Philadelphia skyline, the Delaware River, and the Ben Franklin Bridge as well as a unique waterfront ambiance.

Parking:

Paid parking will be available at one of the several Penn's Landing parking lots.

Registration:

All participants will receive:

• Kappa Global Energy tech running shirt
• Drawstring bag
• Cooling towel
• Custom finishers medal upon completion (10K & 5K)
• Post-race refueling sandwiches, giveaways, and much more

 * Awards will be given to the top (3) male and female finishers only

10K FIRST PLACE PRIZING

Male and Female 10K first place winners receive a trip for two to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to run in the 2018 Global Energy race

A trip for award recipient and one (1) guest to participate in the 2018 Global Energy Race scheduled to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Trip includes round-trip international coach air transportation for award recipient and one (1) guest from major gateway airport nearest award recipient’s residence (as determined by Promoter) to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, two (2) nights standard hotel accommodations (one (1) room, double occupancy), ground transportation to/from airport/hotel and hotel/race location, registration for winner and guest to participate in the 2018 Global Energy Race, and breakfast, lunch and dinner for winner and guest while on trip (exact location and cost of each meal to be determined by Promoter and its subsidiaries, in their sole discretion). Exact date of 2018 Global Energy Race and exact dates of travel will be determined by Promoter, in its sole discretion. Promoter reserves the right to change the travel dates

Challenge begins 6/16/17 at 12:00 a.m. PT, and ends 9/24/17 at 7:30 AM PT. Open to individuals who are 13+ and legal residents in their jurisdiction of residence and are eligible to participate in the challenge or any race. Eligible minors will be required to have their parent’s or legal guardian’s execute a Global Energy Race participant release on their behalf prior to being eligible to participate.
