The Fred Five...

• 5k Run/Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

The Fred Five was organized to raise research dollars for GALD, and infant liver disease that claimed the life of our son.  Since 2013, The Fred Five has raised nearly $40,000 for GALD research at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago.  Last year we were also able to contribute $3,000 to our local amublance.  

The race is a scenic, small-town 5k.  We have serious racers, hobby runners, and parents with strollers.  The Fred Five is truly a family-friendly affair.  After the 5k, we gather kids on the track to run a few races of their own!  A junior mile for the older kids, and some shorter races for the younger kids, including a a 50-meter toddler dash!  Another special feature of The Fred Five - post-race monster cookies!  YUM!
