TFN SWAG 5k Run/Walk...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

Thanks for your interest in the FIRST ANNUAL T.F. North SWAG Run.  Why SWAG?  Because Strong Women Are Gorgeous!  We developed this idea in order to help boost our female athletics program.  Young women who play sports are more likely to have higher confidence, do better in school, and make positive choices. 

By the age of 14, girls are twice as likely to drop out of sports as boys.  According to the Women’s Sports Foundation, factors such as social stigma, lack of access, safety and transportation issues, costs and lack of positive role models, can all contribute to the reasons why girls drop out of sports in their adolescent years.  Our goal is to encourage our young women to stay in sports and reap the benefits of teamwork, commitment, and dedication, all of which are skills that will help them in the long run.

This is why we need you!  Strong and confident girls grow up to be successful and accomplished women.  They have SWAG!

Event details and schedule

Race begins at 8am

RegistrationTime: 6:30 -7:30 a.m. CASH ONLY

Parking: Available by the tennis courts behind the school.

Restrooms: Restrooms will be available near registration and start/finish of race.

Participant Number: Please pin your participant number on the FRONT of your outer layer of clothing. This number must be visible at the finish line in order to be eligible for awards. Runners: In order to be timed correctly, please do not bend or fold your bib number and please use four pins when pinning.

Timing: This is a timed race for all runners. We will be using B-Tag timing. The chip will stay on your bib number. Please do not bend or fold your bib number in order to be timed correctly

Water Stations/First Aid: Water will be available along the course and the finish line. An ambulance will be on-site at the finish line.

Splits and Timing: Digital clocks will be at miles 1 & 2 with split times. Finish times will be displayed on digital clocks at the finish line.

Finish Line: Volunteers will have water at the finish line.
