Come out to the 1st Annual Taco Run 5k at Sandy Creek Nauture Center in Athens, GA. With this 5k we are celebrating Hispanic Culture month and the Independence Day of several countries in Latin America. Proceeds from the race go to Cathedral de Fe Athens, a local Latino church that is raising funds to purchase its first building.

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 3PM
5K: Starts at 4PM
Awards: Overall first place male / female; first place Masters male / female; and top 3 male/female finishers for all age groups beginning 10 and under through 75 and over.
Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.runningintheusa.com and www.coolrunning.com.
Shirts and Goodies: Shirts are guaranteed to thsoe who register by 9/7/17. Those registering after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. Everyone who registeres also gets a taco at the end of the race. There will be plenty of other refreshments.
Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2017 Black Bag Race Series.
Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
