Run/Walk and make a difference in a child's life!
Great 5K to help educate children in Gulu, Uganda!
This event is to help the children of Gulu, Uganda begin their foundation of learning. We would love to have you be a part of their future!
*We will be collecting activity books, learning aids, pencils, notebooks and outside toys (ex. balls, jump ropes) to be sent to the students of St. Catherine of Siena Nursery School.
Event details and schedule
The Fourth Annual Give It Up For Gulu 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Doggie Dash takes place in the scenic Rockford Park at the peak of autumn at 9am (Saturday). The run begins behind the historic water tower, loops the park with an out and back onto Rt. 52, finishing with second loop in front of the water tower.
NEW 1 MILE DOGGIE DASH will begin and end behind the tower. Doggies will receive treats and a "doggie scarf", made in Uganda, at the end of the course.
NEW VIRTUAL RUNNER/WALKER
Can't join us, but still want to participate? Walk, Run, Bike, Swim on your own and still help the cause. T-shirts with registration (choose Virtual runner/walker category). Get others to join and send us a pic of how you participated.
T-shirts for first 200 5K participants and GREAT PRIZES from local and national businesses for top 3 finishers in all ten year age brackets of 5K and post race refreshments. Lots of fun for all, runners, walkers, doggies and their owners.

• Ladies 50+ - Special prize for top finisher in female 50+ age bracket
