Alamosa Education Foundation Glow Run...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

Welcome to the first annual Glow Run from the Alamosa Education Foundation!  All proceeds raised by the AEF are used to help Students and Teachers alike that reside within the Alamosa RE-J11 School District.  Scholarships to college, grant money to help teachers get equipment for the classroom, or help teachers continue their own education!

The course will start at Cole Park, Alamosa and will loop around the beautiful Blanca Vista Park, and end back at Cole Park.  This Course offers a 5k, 3.95k and a 1.5k route. Feel free to walk or run on the course!

Registration opens on <> for the early bird discount.  Same day registration begins at 6:30pm at Cole Park (closest to first street)

All Registrants will receive a 2017 Alamosa Education Foundation Glow Run T-Shirt that glows in the dark!

Cash Prizes are available for the top three place holders in Male and Female in all categories!

Woody’s Q Shack will be there all evening for Delicious BBQ!

Event details and schedule

The 2017 Alamosa Education Glow Run will begin same day registration at 6:30 on 9/9/2017 at Cole Park.  Early Registration discounts are available.

The 5k Walk / Run will begin at 7:30 on 1st Street and State Street.  The Course will run North with the two shorter paths options available along the way.  The 5k path will turn east on Count Road 6 S, head east towards Splashland and Highway 17, then head south back towards Cole Park. 

We will hope for the best weather possible but be prepared!  The average temperature high is 75F and the average low is 39F.  The weather can dramatically change, check the weather and dress appropraitely.  Since the course is near open water be sure to bring mosquito repellent! You may wish to bring reflective or light colored clothing to increase your visibility during the night run.  Feel free to bring headlamps or flash lights.
