3rd Annual Zach Monaghan Memorial Run...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

The Zach Monaghan Memorial Run will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Zach graduated from Union High School in May 2015. He was a member of the Union High School Track and Cross Country Teams. Although he was born with a very special heart he never allowed it to limit his strength or determination. His enduring love for his family, friends, faith, and running was an inspiration to all that knew him.

Zach passed away on June 27, 2015 from complications following open heart surgery. This run will be an opportunity to honor and remember Zach. All proceeds will go to the Zachary Thomas Monaghan Memorial Fund. This Memorial Fund will provide college scholarships to members of the Union High School Track and Cross County teams selected each year by the coaches to receive the “Zach Monaghan Character Award.” Additionally, the Memorial Fund will provide financial assistance to youth programs, with an emphasis towards mission trips.

3:00 pm - 5k Start

3:45 pm - 1 Mile Fun Run Start

4:15 pm - Awards Ceremony

Course:

The course will be on the Union High School Campus and the neighborhood next to the campus and is run on a mixture of asphalt, grass, and track. The run will finish on the track and the course is not certified.  There will be free water and snacks after the run.  Participants are welcome to stay after the event at the track to spend time together remembering Zach.

Registration:

You can sign up in person at Tulsa Runner any time through Saturday September 16th.

Packet Pickup will be at Tulsa Runner September 11th-16th.

Additional donations may be made.  Please make checks out to the Zachary Thomas Monaghan Memorial Fund (ZTM Memorial Fund).
