Over the last ten years, the Woodlawn Run for a Cause has had more than 2,100 people complete the 3.1 mile course. More importantly, more than $113,000 has been raised for the following charities: Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund, Children's Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center, Compassionate Care Hospice, Part of the Solution, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Calvary Hospital, Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Bronx Community Health Network, Friends of Van Cortlandt Park, Mercy Center, Peace Outside Campus, Kalie Gill Family Foundation, National Brain Tumor Society, Ty Louis Campbell Foundation, HOPe Charity, Boomer Esaiason Foundation, and the Ronald McDonald House.
We are happy to announce the 11th annual race will be held on Saturday, September 16 at 10am. The course will be the same as in the past, beginning at the Woodlawn Bus Stop at the corner of Nursery Road to finish at Indian Field. Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and Quinn for the Win.
The race begins at 10:00am.
Race day registration and number/t-shirt pick-up with occur at St. Mark's Church: 7 St. Mark's Place, Yonkers, NY. Post-race awards ceremony will take place at Indian Field at 11:45am. Awards will be provided to the top three overall males and females, along with finishers in the following age groups: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
T-shirts will be given to the first 300 registrants.
