NGARI Rhody Run for the Troops 5K ~ Results...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

 - The NGARI Rhody Run for the Troops 5K has been put together to support our Soldiers and Airmen in the State of Rhode Island. This is the first year for the run with its new location and coordinators.

The race was previously organized by the Stuck family and Packitup.org, which helped to raise funds and collect donations for much needed morale packages sent to troops in deployed locations. After 8 years of true patriotism, the Struck family is taking a much needed break from the road race world and is passing the torch to the National Guard Association of Rhode Island. 

NGARI, whose missions is to support the Rhode Island National Guard, is a large sponsor of the Rhode Island Air show, which raises substantial funds for the Hasbro Children's Hospital. Additionally, they support other charitable causes such as the NGARI college scholarship fund and the Soldiers and Airmen Relief Fund which helps National Guard families in distress.

Event details and schedule

The event is set to begin at 10:00 a.m., please arrive earlier to in-process

Members who are walking will arrive at the same time with a separate walking lane

Be sure to bring a photo ID and any associated waivers. Minors to be accompanied by an adult

Parking will be designated, participants and guests will follow signs and will be shown to their parking area by volunteers

Upon completion of the race, the after party and entertainment will begin. food will be sold and participants can use their voucher to get food that is included with registration

Water will be provided at the end as well as at certain designated position(s) on the course

Other beverages will be sold separately

The children's events (12 and under), which will include a small race and other games; all participants will earn a prize
