Arbor Dash 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1K Fun Run...

Tie on your tennis shoes and team up with the District 279 Early Childhood Parent Advisory Council to support the 5th Annual Arbor Dash 5k Run/Walk and 1k Kids Fun Run!  The Arbor Dash races will be held at the Maple Grove Arboretum Park, 9400 Fernbrook Lane, Maple Grove, MN 55369.  The 5k race will be chip (RFID) timed by Gopher State Events.

Arbor Dash is family-oriented run/walk event benefitting Early Childhood Programs in the Osseo School District.  The 5k is an out and back heading south along the Rice Lake trails.  There will be one water stop, and mile markers at miles 1 and 2. Strollers and baby joggers are welcome. The 1k is an out and back heading north in the park.  At the park there will be lots of FREE activities before, during and after the race - a kid-friendly DJ, air brush tattoo artist, karate demonstrations by DOJO Karate, a fall-themed art project, massages, and tasty refreshments provided by Daily Dose Cafe. 

This is an event you don't want to miss!  Register by Thursday, September 21 to guarantee a race t-shirt!

Event details and schedule

Packet pickup - Friday, September 29 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Daily Dose Cafe in Maple Grove OR Saturday, September 30 from 7:30-8:30 am prior to the races at the event site

1K Kids Fun Run - 9:00 am; kids will run in smaller groups by age

5K Run/Walk - 9:30 am

Awards Ceremony - approx. 10:15 am

All 1K participants will receive an award.  In the 5K, there are awards for Top 3 Men and Top 3 Women overall, as well as 1st-3rd place in each age/gender category.  There will also be a prize drawing based on 5K bib number for free goodies from our sponsors.  Must be present at award ceremony to win drawing.

Parking is available in the north Arboretum parking lot and across the street in the Arbor View Early Childhood Center parking lot.
