The fourth annual Michael DiPaola 5K Race/Fun Run will raise funds for the Michael DiPaola Foundation, an organization formed and run by family members and friends, after Michael's unexpected death in 2014.  Proceeds from this race support the Foundation’s efforts to engage in community opportunities and contribute in ways that Michael would have wanted.  The Foundation donates to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, Broadneck Elementary School’s Kindness Committee, the St. Baldricks Foundation, and needy local families as well as the Michael DiPaola Scholarship Fund.  

The annual $5,000 scholarships are presented to two Broadneck High School seniors.  After meeting criteria, students are nominated by coaches and teachers, and ultimately selected by the school's team of Guidance Counselors.  One boy and one girl are awarded $2,500 as a college scholarships.

Come out and join us for this fun event, and help us give back to the community that Michael loved so much.

Event details and schedule

NOTE:  Thursday (09/28) will be the deadline to register in order to pick up your race day packets on 09/29  Registrations after the 28th will have to pick up packets on the day of the race.

ONLINE Registration will CLOSE on Friday 09/29 @ 6:00 PM.  Registration can still occur

on the day of the race.  

Packet pickup is from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday, September 29th at The Point Crab House in Arnold. Participants are categorized as 12-and-under runners and adult runners. Fees are $20 for adults and $15 for 12 and under, with an additional $3.95 processing fee.  The race begins and ends at Belvedere Elementary School in Arnold.  Start time is 8:00 AM. Refreshments, including water, coffee, fruit, bagels and donuts, will be served.
