MAD Bull 5k...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

Participate in a fun run like no other! The MAD Bull 5k offers the thrill of running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain but instead of actual cattle you'll be chased by roller derby girls and try to avoid being "tagged". That's either more risky or less - you decide. The 5k course, which starts and ends at the Mankato Brewery, winds around Hiniker Pond and Spring Lake Park and back.

Runners will start at 11am and the "bulls" will be released minutes later. Bulls will also be positioned around the course. The bulls will be tagging runners with bullseye stickers to symbolize a "hit." Want to avoid being tagged? While we don't have any walls or fences for you to climb like they do in Spain, our bulls will have a hard time on grass.

Door prizes will be given to runners who cross the finish line with the most or fewest hit stickers. In the event of a tie, names will be drawn.

Participants will receive a MAD Bull 5k Tshirt, a red bandana to taunt the bulls and a free Mankato Brewery beverage (root beer is available for participants under 21)

All proceeds from the MAD Bull 5k will go toward the Mankato Area Derby non-profit organization.

Event details and schedule

The 5k will begin at 11am at Mankato Brewery, winding around Hiniker Pond and Spring Lake Park before returning to the Brewery. 

As this is a fun run, times will be displayed on a large race clock. There will not be chip timing.

Two water stations will be positioned along the course and water and bananas will be provided at the finish line.

Safety is our top priority. Please race responsibly. There are areas of uneven or cracked pavement along the course as well as differences in height during transitions from trails and roadways. 

Parking will be available at the Mankato Brewery. Overflow parking is available at Spring Lake Park.
