Inaugural Season 2017 

The Pennyrile Cross Country Challenge is a five race cross country season that covers five counties that make up the Pennyrile District Health Department.  Nearly all races will have medals for 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd place male and female winners.  See race and age category restrictions following race waiver on page 2.  There will be awards given to the 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place male and female overall winners for the entire season at the end of the season.  Age Division will be determined by your age on July 1^st 2017.  Additionally you may substitute up to three races if you are registered for the entire season, so if you run faster somewhere else, let us merge you into our race for a small additional fee and see if you can move up in the ranks. Come out and join us in becoming healthier and see who is the fastest in the Pennyrile.

Group Warm-up:  8:05 am

5K Start Time:  8:15 am

2.5K Start Time:  9:00 am

1K Start Time: 9:45 am

Course Description:  

1)  This is a Cross Country Course, where possible we are avoiding bike lanes and roads.  Be ready to run on grass, jump over ditches/creeks, and cross gravel or pavement.  

2) Parents who are registered in another race may opt to run with children as support and motivation at no charge.  Only the child's finish will be official, but your memories will be evelasting.

3)We will run in all weather unless there is severe stroms or lightening.  

4)  Due to the tight nature of our courses we ask that no pets be brought onto the course with runners.  This is for other runner's safety and our fans.  

5)  There will not be any course water stops.  Please hydrate at the start of the race and we will have water at the end of the course.
