The Haden's Heart run begins on Main Street in Clark Fork, Idaho on the 4th of July at 7 AM. The course is flat for the first kilometer as it heads out of town into the scenic Lightning Creek valley. It then begins a steady climb up to the Clark Fork cemetery loop and back down to the starting line. The race has a festive, family atmosphere and it is a great way for both runners and walkers to start off their celebration of Independence day. Clark Fork is a small town that celebrates the 4th of July in classic form. A parade begins at 9:30 AM followed by foot races, water melon eating contests, turtle races, and more ending with a fireworks show at dark.
The race begins at 7 AM, July 4th, at 600 Main Street in Clark Fork, Idaho. Each participant must sign a waiver, participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign. Convenient parking is available at the Clark Fork High School. Packets can be picked up beginning at 6:15. Patriotic attire and costumes are very welcome! Go to hadensheartrun.com for more info.
