Description
Over the river and through the woods seems to be an accurate description of this unique run. Independence Pioneer Village is a privately owned collection of historic buildings reconstructed on the north edge of Oakland, IL. The 20 acre village is home to approximately 17 structures including a school house, homesteads, a blacksmith shop, and carriage house. The run will begin at the General Store and continue around the pond, through the woods and across the creek. You may not want to linger at the jail but hurry to cross the finish line.
