Garrett's Path 5K & Hero Ride

• Garrett's Path 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles
• Garrett's Path Hero Ride:- 12, 24, and 34

It is a family friendly event whereby participants can participate in the 5K and/or bicycle ride (12, 24 and 34 mile options).

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30th at Dankwardt Park (large shelter house) with the 5K starting at 9 am.

The Garrett’s Path 5K & Hero Ride is the foundation’s largest fundraiser. 

Over 3,600 people from 15 or more states have participated in the event since 2013.
The GP5K | Hero Ride is the largest of it’s kind in southeast Iowa. This event serves as the Foundation’s largest fundraiser and receives tremendous support from local businesses and the community..

The Garrett M. Brockway Foundation was created in 2013 to honor Garrett’s ultimate sacrifice of organ and tissue donation as a result of his tragic death at the age of 10-years-old. Increasing awareness for the great need of organ donation is first and foremost goal of the foundation. In addition, the foundation will strive to make a positive impact on children’s lives through academic opportunities and athletic programs
