The Corrida de Corrales consist of a Half Marathon, a 10K and 5K race. They are 3 of the most unique and fun races in the State of New Mexico. All 3 races weave through the heart of Corrales along the dirt acequias or ditch banks as well as on asphalt. Some of the courses will take you past the Old San Yisidro Church or alongside the Corrales Cemetery. Whichever race is right for you, you will be delighted with awesome vistas of the Sandia Mountains and the uniquely Corrales tree lined acequias.
The Corrida de Corrales is put on by the Kiwanis Club or Corrales and all proceeds go to help support and maintain their annual Kids Kamp that takes place every June in Vanderwagon, NM. It’s a 5 day long camp that is free to local families that would otherwise not be able to send their kids to a summer camp program. The camp is a highly organized 5 day adventure with confidence ropes courses, Kamp Olympics and much much more.
All 3 races are on flat, shady, dirt trails along the tree-lined acequia through the heart of beautiful Corrales.
