The Wags & Menance Run For The Seals Fun Run is a fundraiser for the Northcoast Marine Mammal Center (NMMC)  in Crescent City, CA. NMMC is a rescue and release hospital for marine mammals. All aspects of animal care are handled by a completely volunteer staff, including our veterinarian. 

All procedes from your race registration will go directly to the care and feeding of animals at the NMMC.

Event details and schedule

DISTANCE:  5k/10k fun run and walk!  No-cost kids run before adult fun run starts.

WHERE:  Northcoast Marine Mammal Center (NMMC) in Crescent City, California. We are on the Crescent City Harbor in Beachfront Park at 424 Howe Drive. There will be plenty of parking facing Crescent City Harbor.

DIVISIONS: 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, & 60+. Awards to top three overall male and female runners in both 5k and 10k events! 

Race Begins at 9:00 AM.

Race Day registration and race packet pick up begins at 7:30 am

SHIRT:  Registration includes one T-shirt with unique NMMC 2017 artwork. Additional T-shirts are available and may be purchased for $10.00 extra. Shirts will be $15 on race day.

COURSE: Scenic run around the Crescent City Harbor. Runners and walkers share the course. Both the 5k and 10k start at the Northcoast Marine Mammal Center. The 5k travels via the bike path to Ocean World and then back to the B Street pier to make a full loop. The 10k follows the 5k course, but then extends into the Harbor with a turnaround at Whalers Island. Toilets available at the start and in the Harbor. Two aid stations. Refreshments at finish.
