he Encore Breast Cancer Awareness 5K, scheduled for Oct. 14, 2017 at 8 a.m., brings together an entire community who support this great group of women and their cause in helping others with a breast cancer diagnosis.

The race starts at the YWCA and runners will witness the beautiful fall foliage as they travel through Cumberland Township. Medals are presented to first- and second-place men and women in the following age groups: 13 and under, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and older.

For those who do not live in Adams County, the fall is a beautiful time to visit Gettysburg and tour the Gettysburg National Military Park. The National Apple Harvest Festival – a great event for the entire family – occurs the same weekend as the race and is only a short drive from the YWCA.
