C.E.S. 5K Fall Classic ~ Results

• C.E.S. 5K Fall Classic:- Run 3.1 Miles

-) Cooperative Educational Services in Trumbull is planning its 10th annual C.E.S. 5K Fall Classic, a run and 2-mile walk on Oct. 14 at scenic Seaside Park in Bridgeport.

The race raises money to help C.E.S., one of six Regional Educational Service Centers in Connecticut, provide quality educational opportunities for students, educators and communities throughout Fairfield County. It operates Six to Six Magnet School in Bridgeport, the Regional Center for the Arts in Trumbull, a Special Education division and the School Readiness preschool, in addition to providing development, transportation and administrative services to school districts.

Professional timing will be handled by Platt Timing Systems, which will post live results.

Registration is $25 for runners and $20 for walkers through Oct. 5. After Oct. 5 the cost is $30 for runners and $25 for walkers. Participants can register at www.ces.k12.ct.us/5k and join the Facebook event page at http://bit.ly/5kevent2017.

The first 150 people to register get a free race T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers and food and beverages will be available.

-) Runners can enjoy a fast, flat course that’s along the shore of Long Island Sound and a great place to challenge a personal best. The course is clearly marked with several water stations along the way.
