Illinois Homecoming 5K...

The annual Homecoming 5K is back! Get ready to help kick off the 2017 University of Illinois Homecoming Week!  With orange and blue all around, this is a great event to raise excitement, adrenaline, and spirit for the best university out there.

The price of registration includes an Illini dri-fit race shirt for all participants, and the proceeds will support the University of Illinois Student Assistance Center. The center offers services and programs to provide students with knowledge and access to the wide array of resources that the University offers, supports students in times of difficult life circumstances, and helps to develop students' communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills. Come support this great cause and begin your Homecoming celebration!

Event details and schedule

The annual Homecoming 5K will be held at the Arboretum at the University of Illinois on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Florida Avenue.  There is parking available in the lot near the Noel Welcome Garden, as well as the lot just north of the Japan House.  There is metered parking up and down Lincoln Avenue which is free on Sundays.

The run will begin at 9:00AM; it is recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to give yourself ample time to prepare.  It is a 5 kilometer, or 3.1 mile race, which is equivalent to 2 laps around the Arboretum course.

Come dressed for the weather!  Wear any spirited Illini gear that you have to keep up with the Homecoming theme, and it is recommended to dress in layers.  

Register by Sunday, October 15th to guarantee a race shirt!
