The Freaky 5K is a great family event for all ages and abilities. The 5K route winds through 3 of Appleton's most scenic parks. Enjoy the autumn colors and remarkable scenary along the shores of the Fox River. All participants will receive a Freaky 5K shirt, goodie bag and refreshments. Come join us for a day of fun with a costume contest, music, kids games and refreshments, including hot Apple Cider, Fresh popcorn and CHEESECURDS!
Mini Monster 1K Run - Kids Fun Run- Takes place on the Trail around Pierce Park. Kids receive Freaky 5K shirt, goodie bag, finishers medal.
Buffalo Wild Wings - Wing Sampling and Wing eating Contest!! - Join us after the race for FREE Chicken Wings provided by Buffalo Wild Wings. We will also be having a Wing Eating Contest under the main pavilion. Be sure to stick around for all the fun. Takes place approximately 9:30 am
NEW THIS YEAR! The Freaky 5K is Dog Friendly!
Please bring your fur baby out for a HOWLING good time! We will have a dog costume contest, fun dog activities and a special giveaway to all 5K participants that indicate they will be participating with their dog.

Awards to the top 3 overall male and female participants in the 5K. Awards also presented to the top 3 in each age group. Age groups are: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29 etc. up to 70+

PARKING
Limited Parking is available within Pierce Park. Additional Parking is available at Jefferson Elementary or on city streets across from the Park.

Friday, October 27th, 3 - 5 pm @ Appleton YMCA, 218 E. Lawrence St., Appleton
Saturday, October 28th 6:30 - 8:15 am @ Pierce Park, 1000 W. Prospect Ave., Appleton

What is the LIVESTRONG YMCA Cancer Survivorship Program?
During this 12 week program, cancer survivors are supported by trained Y instructors that guide you safely to achieve your goals by helping build strength, increase flexibility and endurance, while improving confidence and self-esteem. By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is helping people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind and body.
HOW DO I VOLUNTEER
Volunteers truly make a difference! If you would like to volunteer for this year's event, volunteers are needed in the following areas:
-Intersection Marshal's, water station, finish line, refreshments, registration and packet pickup.
