THE CAUSE

Project Uplift, the 501C3 Foundation has awarded scholarships to deserving students in excess of $200,000.00. We have been able to accomplish this mission through service in the local and surrounding communities. Our programs in the community include many sponsored events such as blood drives, voter registration campaigns, prostate awareness seminars, senior citizen visits, community beautification activities and mentoring programs to elementary, middle school and high school students and parents in the DeKalb County area.

It is our hope that this correspondence will be an invitation to your organization for a discussion of how you can assist us with monetary or support donations that enhance our ability to successfully hold our inaugural Blood, Sweat and Years 5k Run/Walk Event being held on October 28 th 2017 at the Davidson Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve Trail located at 3787 Klondike Road, Lithonia Ga.30038. This event is designed to raise the awareness of Hypertension as well as other diseases that plague our communities. This event will also help expand our programs and scholarship fundraising efforts.

Chip timing

• Start and Finish at main entrance to the Davidson Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve Trail located at 3787 Klondike Road, Lithonia Ga.30038.
• FREE beverages to all participants courtesy of Crystal Spring and Gatorade before, during and immediately following the race.
• Stay around to enjoy the sounds of DJ Drae Diddy!

8:00 am - 5K All Participants Start (Walkers line up after runners. FREE T-Shirts and commemorative medals for all paid participants)
