_ 2017 Brains Matter in New Mexico 5K/I Mile walk for Brain Aneursym Awareness:
The Neuroscience ICU at UNMH has been taking care of aneurysm patients since its inception in 1999. UNMH treated more than 130 aneurysm patients in 2016. It is our hope that this race will bring awareness of brain aneurysms to the community of Albuquerque and the surrounding area. We also hope it will help New Mexicans to recognize symptoms of those suffering from aneurysm and to help get a quick diagnosis and treatment.
Please join us at our 1st annual event this November 11th, as we strive to raise awareness and funds to help prevent more families from being affected by this terrible disease!
