City of Sunrise Trick or Trot 5K & Kids' Dash...

Don't miss the City of Sunrise's inaugural Halloween-themed 5K and Kids' Dash! The race will take place at the beautiful Markham Park - the sprawling, 666-acre County park perched at the edge of the Everglades Conservation Area in Sunrise, FL.  Individual runners, walkers and families of all ages, skill levels and abilities are welcomed on this USATF-sanctioned route.

This is a Halloween-themed race and costumes are encouraged.  The best costumes may even receive special recognition at the end of the race! 

Awards go to the top three place winners in each age category for males and females.  

Early bird registration is just $15 and includes a tech (unisex) t-shirt and commemorative finisher medal.  The price will go UP so act now!! 

T-shirt/size not guaranteed for those registrations received after 10/9/17. 

There will also be a Kids' Dash for children ages 10 and under.  The cost is only $10/child and also includes a tech t-shirt and commemorative finisher medal! Be sure to register the kiddies for this one!

Paralyzed Veterans of America Florida Chapter (serving all of South Florida) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to improve the lives of veterans with a spinal cord injury or dysfunction (SCI/D) and other persons with disabilities to achieve maximum health, productivity, and self-esteem in their daily lives.

Sunrise Social Services helps provide financial assistance for qualified Sunrise residents in emergency situations.

Times:        5:45 a.m. - Race day registration, check-in, and packet pick-up

                   7:30 a.m. - Race Starts!

                   9:00 a.m. - Awards (Top 3 in each age division)

 Kids' Dash Divisions (Dashes start at 8:45am):

• • • 3 year olds and under
    • 4-5 year olds
    • 6-7 year olds
    • 8-10 year olds

Fees*:          $10 for Kids' Dash (10 and under)

         $15 Early Bird Registration (Price will go up. Register early!)

Parking Fee:   Markham Park charges an entrance fee at the gate. Please be prepared to pay these fees upon entrance to the park.

$1.50 per person (ages 6 and up)
$8 maximum charge per car or van (six to nine occupants)
$20 maximum charge per commercial vehicle/school bus (10 or more occupants).
