Join us for a 5K and 10K charity chip-timed race event, sponsored by Rotary Club of Celebration and certified by USA Track and Field

WHO:      Running Category: 10K, 5K, 1 mile; Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

COURSES:  5k and 10k courses are certified and sanctioned by USA Track and Field. Run on beautiful tree-lined flat streets with lovely town views and cheering people.

SHIRTS:  All 5k and 10k runners to register by September 8th will be guaranteed their shirt size.  T-shirt sizing chart will be posted here.  Sizes can be exchanged upon availability on 10/27 and 10/28 On-site registration.

MEDALS: Every 5k and 10k runner that completes the race will get a participant medal.  Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded in each category.

For non-runners, pancake breakfast tickets are available for sale on the day of race.

LOCATION: Celebration Fire Station is located 5 minutes from Disney World and just east of 1-4 on Hwy 192 in Kissimmee. Easy highway access from 417 (Greenway-toll) via Exit 2- Celebration Ave.  

PARKING: There will be plenty of parking with use of multiple lots and traffic officers are available to guide event participants.

STROLLERS:  Strollers WILL BE ALLOWED at this year's 5k race! All participants with strollers will start in the back of the runners corrals.  (No strollers will be permitted for the 10k race and kids fun run).  

Beneficiary: The Community Hope Center IDignity Osceola

The Community Hope Center is an Outreach and Self-Sufficiency Program providing services to the homeless and near-homeless families and individuals living in poverty in Osceola County.

The mission of our newest program, IDignity Osceola is to provide hope and dignity by assisting our clients to obtain state-issued identification and other identification documents. Our quarterly client service events serve as a one-stop shop where clients can receive help from multiple agencies in one
location. This assists them in overcoming the logistical barriers to obtaining identification. Additionally, a team of trained volunteers assists each client in assessing their particular needs and create a plan to achieve their goals. This assists our clients in overcoming social and behavioral barriers to obtaining identification. Most importantly, our events focus on restoring dignity to each client through social contact. We stress taking the time to listen and connect with each client, learn their stories, and
get to know them personally. This restores a sense of dignity and belonging that many of our clients do not experience on a day-to-day basis.

Rotary continues to support past recipients of Pancake Breakfast fundraising dollars including: New Beginnings, The Sunshine Foundation, Children's Advocacy, The Celebration Foundation, Celebration Community Concert Series, Rotary Polio Plus, Florida Hospital Shares, Rotary Interact Clubs, Celebration Boy Scouts just to name a few.    The Rotary Club has been meeting in Celebration since 1995. We have raised over $400,000 for the projects we support. Our club meets every Friday in the Mangrove Conference Room at The Florida Hospital Celebration Health. Breakfast is available from 7-7:30. The meetings begin at 7:30 and end at 8:30. All are welcome to attend!

FAQs

Where is the packet pickup going to be?

Just like last year, there is a pre-race day pack pick-up - date/time TBA   You can also register for the race on the day of the race until we are sold out.   Can I pick up someone else's race packet?   Yes, just have them send you a photo of their ID with a statement giving you permission to collect their race packet.   Am I right in assuming that spectators can buy pancake breakfast tickets while they're waiting for runners?   Yes, Pancake breakfast tickets are available for sale on day of race.  Also, you can go to celebrationrotarypancakerun.com to buy in advance or get a volume discount.   What is the cut-off date for registration?   10/25/17 @ 11:55pm   When will race timing results be posted online?   Results will be posted by Strider Events no later than NOON on the day of the event.
