In 2017 Animal House Rescue & Grooming is honored to take over the Phantom race and continue to bring a fun, family, and dog friendly Halloween themed morning to benefit homeless animals. This year’s run/walk features a new venue, new 4 mile course, post-race hot breakfast and beer from presenting sponsor The Biergarten at Anheuser Busch, live music, sponsor and vendor booths, and more! After enjoying the race, breakfast, and awards stick around and take the free brewery tour and have lunch at The Biergarten! Proceeds will benefit Animal House Rescue & Grooming and the Fort Collins Cat Rescue Spay/Neuter Clinic.

Parking: Parking is available at and around Anheuser Busch

2017 Race Course Map: The Phantom 4 Miler will start and finish in The Biergarten parking lot near the main entrance. The course will proceed north on Busch Drive, turn left on Richards Lake Road, after the 1.1 mile mark runners will turn left onto Giddings Road, after the 2.1 mile mark runners will turn left onto Mountain Vista Drive and head east toward Busch Drive. Right around the 3 mile mark runners will turn left onto Busch Drive and follow it north into The Biergarten parking lot and the finish line. 

Packet Pick-up: Join us for Fire Pit Friday at The Biergarten on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. to pick up your race packet, register for the event (available if the event is not sold out), enjoy live music from South to Cedars, libations, and more!

Race Day Schedule of Events: 

• 7:30 a.m. race day registration (if available) and packet pick-up at The Biergarten at Anheuser Busch in Fort Collins 
• 8:30 a.m. costume contest and sponsor/vendor booths open
• 9:00 a.m. Phantom 4 miler begins 
• 9:30 a.m. breakfast opens for registered participants 
• 10:00 a.m. awards ceremony
• 11:00-11:30 a.m. event concludes 

What to bring/what to wear: The Phantom 4 Miler will take place rain or shine. Please be prepared for Colorado fall weather, layers are ideal! In the event of inclement weather, portions of the event will move indoors including registration, breakfast, entertainment, booths and awards. Please note that dogs are not allowed inside The Biergarten but are welcome anywhere on the patio or outside areas. Restrooms are located inside The Biergarten. 

Dog Attendee Registration Information: We hope your canine best friends can join us! Dog participants will receive a Phantom 4 Miler bandana. Please let us know when you register how many bandanas you’ll need. First bandana is free with registration, each additional bandana is a $2.00 donation. Your dog will need to be current on required vaccines and on a leash at ALL times before, during the Phantom 4 Miler, and after the race. Dogs are not allowed inside The Biergarten but are welcome anywhere else on the grounds.

Awards: Prizes and awards for the top runners: 1st overall male and female, 1st male and female in each age group (0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). Well also have prizes and/or awards for the best canine costume, best canine & human costume duo, best human costume, top dog finisher, largest dog, smallest dog, largest team, and more!
