ABOUT OUR HERO: PATRICK TAYLOR:

The event celebrates the life of Patrick Taylor: firefighter, father and husband who transformed his Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis into a greater purpose of helping and inspiring others. When Patrick was diagnosed with MS he began training for the Paralympics, somedays the former firefighter would roll 15 miles in his wheel chair on his way to the gym. During these rides Pat would carry items on his lap to donate to local charity drives. Patrick was a huge proponent of health and fitness and spent his last day on Earth training at the gym. He died in January of 2015 but that’s not where his story ends only where his legacy begins. This hometown hero is the inspiration behind The Greater Purpose Project (non-profit).
