Ride in the Rocks is an event for the whole family. Hard core mountain bikers will not be disappointed. Rocks and sand, climbs and high speed down-hill single track await you. The rest of the family will enjoy the Tough 10, Tame 10, Family 5 mile mountain bike rides or the 5 mile Trail Run/Walk. The High Desert weather in early November is cool in the mornings, and warms nicely throughout the day. Clear skies, beautiful quiet terrain coupled with a delicious lunch makes for a perfect weekend or day trip. Free camping spaces are also available. Please note that we now have two 10 mile courses, a "Tame 10" that runs on graded dirt roads and the new "Tough 10" that will utilize the first 10 miles of the Challenge 25 mile course.

Event details and schedule

Event check in is 7:00-8:30 am, start time 9:00 am sharp! Dress for a cool morning, but be ready to strip down soon after the start. Arrive early enough to fill out and sign waivers. The course closes at 3:00 pm, if you are on the 40 mile Challenge Course and want to cross the finish line on your bike, don't dawdle. There is plenty of parking near the Start/Finish line as well as parking lot spaces for trailer camping the night before and grass for tents. We do take same day registrations. We also include a free t-shirt so please include your size. Goodie Bags and lunch provided by Cervantes Grill on Wheels are also included. Come join us for a spectacular day in the desert!
