9th Annual RKT 8K/ 2.5 Mile Race...

This is a gorgeous race route comprised of road and trail running along the Penobscot River and into Old Town.   Hats will be available to the first 75 registrants.  Native made traditional baskets will be awarded to the first male and female 8K winners. Native made crafts will be awarded in the other categories.

This race raises money for diabetes prevention and awareness.  Diabetes disproportionally affects tribal members and the monies raised will be put to use in the Penobscot Nation Community, while a portion will also be donated to the American Diabetes Association. 

Ralph is an inspiration to many Penobscot runners and is in the Maine Running Hall of Fame.  He has participated in this race in his honor from the very beginning.
