Here is your chance to run or walk down Main Street Newark DE without being chased by police.

For the past 10 years the Main Street Mile has been a signature event for the City of Newark.  It is unique because you get the chance to run or walk down Main Street with no cars and absolutely no traffic.  This just does not happen :-)

Nic DeCaire founded the Main Street Mile 10 years ago as a way to help fund the Newark Police K9.  Between this event and others he and his friends have put on over the years they have raised over $100,000 for the Newark Police K9 Unit.

Not only is this a great 1 Mile Race but it has an awesome after party at the DeerPark Tavern.  After you PR on this fast course stick around for some music, food, and stop by the Bloody Mary and Beer Tent for a drink.

This event is one you want to make sure is on your race calendar.
