The annual 116th Infantry Regimental 5K will take place in the scenic Gypsy Hill Park area of Staunton, Virginia.  The race will start in the large parking lot beyond the Thomas Howie Memorial Armory and will enter the park, completing nearly two loops, before exiting to complete the race in front of the Armory.  An Army artillery piece will start the race with post-race awards ceremony.   The Annual 116th Infantry Regimental 5K supports the local Regimental Foundation and demonstrates support of the local brave men and women whom has served, or currently serving, in defense of our Nation's Freedom.   Although there is no cap on race registration, we encourage early registration.

Event details and schedule

The event will begin promptly at 9:00a.m. with late registration and packet pick up from 7:30-8:45am inside the Thomas D. Howie Armory.  

The course will begin in the parking lot beyond the armory before entering the park.  Participates will complete one full loop and exit during the second loop to complete the race near the entrance of the armory.

Street parking, Gypsy Hill Parking and large lot at starting point will be available with limited access to 116th Regimental Road.

Please bring appropriate ID and dress accordingly for the weather.
