What's the meaning of "Sticks and Biscuits"?

-- This Thanksgiving 5K is organized by the Palmyra Ice Hockey Club, which uses "Sticks", and "Biscuits" is hockey slang for the puck.

The Sticks and Biscuits is one of the most successful Thanksgiving Day 5K's in Central PA.  In order to give all participants the best possible experience, this year's race is being limited to 1,700 entries.  This year's race helps fund the Palmyra Ice Hockey Club and also benefits local charities.

Post-Race food and drink
Child Care at Kidmazium (sign-up children for child-care through race registration, limited to 50 children, must be potty-trained, maximum age = 12)
5K entries rec'd by Nov. 9 get our famous Long-SleeveSticks and Biscuits  Dri-Fit "Tech" Shirts guaranteed for entries (shirts will be distributed on a first-come basis for entries received after 11/9)
Fun Run entries rec'd by Nov. 10 get a cotton Sticks and Biscuits Tee.
Race Location: Klick Lewis Arena, 101 Landings Drive, Annville, PA  17003 (Just 15 minutes from Hershey Park)

Race Schedule:

Advance Packet Pickups and late registration: 11/22 Noon to 6:30 pm at Cross Fit Hershey
Race Day Packet Pickup 6:30am - 7:45am (no registration on race day)
5K Race starts at 8:15am
Kids Fun Run at 8:15  (1 mile, kids age 12 and under, on the adjoining turf field). Weather permitting, Kids Run will not be held if the turf field is covered in too much snow.
Note: This race comes close to selling out in advance every year, so on-line registration is strongly recommended (online registration is easier and faster if you have birthdates and shirt sizes ready for all family members you are registering for the event).

5K Awards: First Overall Male and Female, plus gender-specific age groups: 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
