Description

The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) is a non-profit international association that is dedicated to supporting global security by providing an ethical environment that encourages a close cooperative relationship among civil government agencies, the military and industry.

The AFCEA Run for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is a fund raising effort that benefits scholarships for high school students and other young adults who are looking to pursue a career in those fields of study.  Last year, the Lexington-Concord Chapter presented local students with over $60,000 in grants and scholarships!

The Run for STEM is a 5K race that is family and beginner oriented, but remains a challenge for runners of any level.  The course takes place on the Minuteman National Park Trail which takes you through a number of historical sites including:

  • The Josiah Nelson House Site
  • Paul Revere's Capture Site
  • Captain William Smith's House
  • The Samuel Hartwell House Site
  • The Hartwell Tavern
