Walk-ins welcome!  You can register by phone at 414-897-8669 Thursday May 4 from 9:00am - 5:00pm and Friday, May 5th from 9:00am - Noon.  Or visit kidneywi.org to print a registration form to bring with you to the event.

Parkway 5K encourages families to run or walk for a healthier future and raise awareness for kidney health, dialysis, living donation and transplant. The event is managed by Next Level Sports and features a timed 5K run/walk on a USTAF certified course. Children 11 and under can register for the KIDney Fan Club to join in the fun! Parkway 5K takes place on a flat, paved trail in Whitnall Park (Root River Parkway South) on a spring morning where you may even see turkeys or a fox nearby!

All funds go to support the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin and their programs and services for patients and families in Wisconsin. More details can be found at www.kidneywi.org. #Parkway5K

1) What time is the event?

• The tentative timeline for the day is:

• • 9:00 a.m. - Registration / Packet pick-up
  • 10:00 a.m. - Kidney Mile Starts (separate registration required)
  • 10:45 a.m. - Parkway 5K Starts 
    • Kidney Mile walkers become fans at the Finish Line
  • 11:45 a.m. - Recognition and Awards Ceremony
    • Fundraising, Team Spirit, Special Nurses and other Surprise Recognition
    • 5K Run Age-category Awards
    • 5K Run Male/Female Championship Winners

2) What’s new?

• Concession stand & entertainment
• Games & contests

3) Who can run/walk?

• The scenic USTAF certified course is flat and paved.  Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome.

4) What if there is inclement weather?

• The Parkway 5K is rain or shine! 

5) Where can I park?

• There is some parking along the Root River Parkway and nearby roads.  Follow all posted parking regulations.  Note: 92nd St is designated as NO PARKING.  The National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin is not responsible for towing or ticket fees for anyone not following posted parking regulations.
