- The weather's changing and school's back in session. But there are mothers in our community with babies to feed and no place to call home. By running the homecoming race with us, your registration and sponsorship supports housing for homeless mothers and empowers them to choose life for their babies.
Our run isn't easy: it's 5 kilometers long, i.e. 3.1 miles. What's even harder--and more challenging--is being a mother who's pregnant, alone, and impoverished. These women are your neighbors, sisters, and friends. The harder you run and the more support you raise from friends and sponsors, the stronger your helping hand for these women.
At 8AM on Saturday, September 30, we'll gather to run a circuit around Lake Elkhorn in Columbia, MD. Our sponsors will treat you to food, beverages, and everything you'll need to win this race. You will bring your blood, sweat, and tears, and get ready to run like you've never run before.
Together, we can raise our goal of $25,000, and smash last year's record-breaking success. That'll sustain a whole year of various expenses at our maternity homes and help line: 1-800-ANGEL-OK!
- The course runs around scenic Lake Elkhorn on a paved path with few elevation changes.
- Just off Snowden River Parkway.
