The Ken 'Ya Run 5K event is organized by Kenya Connection Kids, Inc to raise funds for the KCK Technical School in Chuka, Kenya. The long term goal of this Technical School is to provide oportunities for the citizens of Kenya to further thier education and provide them with viable skills to allow them to become carpenters, welders, electricians, and seamstresses. We are firm believers in "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." The initial funds raised by this event will be used to complete the construction of the school.
So please join us for a wonderful run on the trails through the fields and woods of Still Family Farm. The Ken 'Ya Run 5K and Ken 'Ya Walk 1K will occur on the 149 acre farm. All levels of runners and walkers are invited. Plans are already underway to make this a four run series on local area farms based on your feedback from this event.
