Five Star Early Bird Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K/10K/15K/Half Marathon...

• 15K Run / Walk:- Run 9.3 Miles
• 5K Run / Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles
• Half Marathon:- Run 13.1 Miles
• 10K Run / Walk:- Run 6.2 Miles

Come out on the Saturday Morning before Thanksgiving for a great family event.  We start, Finish, and run at the Tile Shop in Kennesaw Georiga.  Everything takes place just steps away from Marietta and all the other surrounding areas.  Easy in and easy out will make your before and after race easy.  5K, 10K, 15K, & Half Marathon all start at 8:00 am, and are all fairly flat.  Chip timing for everyone, along with awards in all distances to the top 3 men & top 3 women, top 3 master's men & top 3 master's women, as well as the top 3 in all the usual 5 year age groups.  Shirts & finisher medals are optional...so if you have plenty of those items, you can save a few dollars.  Race week registration is at packet pickup (see event website for details)...Race Day registration opens at 6:30 am

**Active Registration closes on Thursday Morning 11/16.  You can still register online via the five Star website, at early packet pickup, and at the race site on Saturday morning.

This is part of our annual give back to the running community for being so supportive over the course of the past year.

Event Beneficiary

Blessings in a Backup is our primary beneficiary for the event.  In addition to monatary donations we will be collecting non-perishable food items at the Early Bird Turkey Trot. Please bring your food drive donations on Nov. 18 only between 6:30 am -7:45 am.

Awards

Finisher Awards...

Yes...we'll have finisher awards, and you'll be able to get one it you want one.

Overall Awards

Each race (5K, 10K, 15K, Half Marathon) will have awards for the Top 3 finishers M/F and the Top 3 Masters Finishers M/F.  These awards will be based on Gun Time.

Age Group Awards

Each race will have awards to the top 3 in each of the normal 5 year age groups (10 & under - 75+).  These awards will be based on Chip Time.

Finish Line & Awards Ceremony

We'll have plenty of goodies to start your day off right. We're even working on getting some vendors to come out if you want to do some early shopping. As for the awards ceremony, it's Thanksgiving, and in the interest of time, we'll be doing awards as follows.

Overalls -- 8:45 am

Age Groups -- 9:15 am

10K

Overalls -- 9:00 am

Age Groups -- 9:30 am

Half Marathon

Course & Pacing

It's a great course...The course is flat!...but it's North Georgia, so NOTHING is completely flat.

It's a 5K loop, so if you're running with your friends who want to run further, you'll be able to run together for the first part, and they'll take off and finish up on their own.

The further you go, the more loops you'll do. We'll have loads of entertainment along the way, so you won't event realize it's multiple laps. You'll need to finish in 3 hours (we'll keep the clock going till the last finisher comes in, but the police & aid stations will be leaving). That's a 13:45 avg pace.

Shirts & Goodies

We'll have Long sleeve tech shirts ($15), Long sleeve cotton ($15), and we'll be getting hoodies ($20) too this year.  Just pick out what you want, and we'll get you squared away.

Groups & Teams

Grab your buddies, co-workers, family, or random strangers and put a team together. You'll get a discount & a chance to get some great pictures if you all dress the same.

Event Cap

It is our goal to NOT put an event cap in place...however, about 1 month prior we will need to order finisher medals. At that point, we will not be able to guarantee finisher awards to registrations coming afterwards. SO...Register early.

Five Star Championships

This is one of the last chances to earn a spot in the 5K/10K championships, and it's a big group that will earn spots.  Check out www.fivestarntp.com for a complete expanation as to how the spots are allocated.

Event Courtesy Policy

Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.

All registrations are final.  There are no refunds, transfers, or deferals.
