11th Annual WMC 5K Turkey Trot Run/Walk...

The Washington Township Recreation Dept. along with the West Morris Central Track and Field Club are sponsoring the 11th annual Memorial 5K Turkey Trot on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017 at 10A.M.  

This is a community event open to the public being held to continue the tradition of the WMC Memorial Race started 10 years ago in memory of Kyleigh D'Alessio and Tanner Birch. Since then the race has also honored the memory of Stephen Berstler. The proceeds of the race will continue to fund the memorial schoIarships in their names as well as new recreational projects for the benefit of the Township. We hope to make this event a holiday tradition in Washington Township, Morris County.

The race will be held at West Morris Central High School, 259 Bartley Rd., Chester, NJ.  Registration tables open at 8 a.m., with the race/walk starting at 10 a.m.  There will be medals for the top 3 male and top 3 female racers plus awards for the best costume. The entry fee is $25. Preregistration is encouraged, with T-shirts guaranteed to those registering before Nov. 3.
