The Walnut Turkey Day Dash! 5k fun walk/run has quickly become a community and family tradition on Thanksgiving Day.  This event begins and ends at Walnut Elementary, located at 801 Grove Avenue with a fast course that winds through neighborhoods that is flat, although some streets may be uneven. It is an event designed to start off Thanksgiving Day with activity so participants can enjoy their meals with families and friends knowing they have already burned off calories that morning.

Costumes are encouraged with a trophy awarded to an individual and a group/family trophy with the best costume.

T-shirts are short-sleeved in youth and adult sizes.

Event details and schedule

Packet pick-up iand late registration will be available on Wednesday, November 22, from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Walnut Elementary.  Packet pick-up and late registrations will also be available the day of the event, Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, November 23 beginning at 6:30 a.m.  

Please encourage friends and family members to register and pick up packets as early as possible as this event is rapidly growing. T-shirts are available on a first come, first served basis for late registrants. We will NOT be ordering additional t-shirts as we have in the past once we are out of the surplus.
