Run for Prevention 5K...

The Busey Bank Run for Prevention is a chipped and time 5K that includes a beautiful course through the historic River District.  This event will be held at Cenenntial Park, 2000 West First Street, Fort Myers on October 7, 2017.  A 6:00 p.m. 5K Run and Walk will be followed by a Kids Fun Run and a costume contest.  The Family Festival in Centennial Park will include a bounce house and fun activites for all ages.  Music will be provided by B103-FM and Big Mama and the Wild Bunch will be on hand to keep things lively.  This Run and Walk, which crosses the Edison Bridge, is great for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, and perfect for teams.

T Shirts for the first 300 registrants.  Team members receive a $5.00 discount.  T shirts sizes are not guaranteed

Timing services provided by Florida Road Race Management.  

Awards to male and female in the following categories: Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters, Awards to male and female, 3 deep, in the following age groups:10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44,45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and up

Pre-Race Packet Pick Up and onsite registration will be at Fords Garage, 2207 First Street, Fort Myers, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6; and at Centennial Park on October 7 at 4:30 p.m.

All proceeds from the Busey Bank Run for Prevention support Drug House Odyssey and drug and alcohol abuse prevention in Lee County.  The Lee County Coalition for a Drug-Free SWFL is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
