Welcome to the 2017 Edition of the Vulcan Run!
This is the 43rd running of this Birmingham classic 10k. What started as the Bicentennial Run in November 1975 with 221 runners has grown into one of the most popular road races in the Southeast with more than1500 runners in recent years. Join the Birmingham Track Club as we host the Vulcan Run 10k. This year's 10k event is again the RRCA Alabama State 10k Championship Race. Click through the links under the Race Info menu for more information about the race.

Please Note:
There are no refunds of registration fees. There are no bib number transfers of registration after October 31st.

This event will occur rain or shine, warm or cold. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event, there will be no refunds. Your entry fee will be used as a donation to Vulcan Park & Museum, Girls on the Run and the Birmingham Track Club.

Race Shirts: 
You must register by 12pm (noon) on Tuesday, October 24th to be guaranteed a race shirt!

Race Bibs:
• Please be sure to wear your bib number on the front of your shirt.
• Your bib number must be visible at all times during the race.
• The race will be chip timed so "no bib number" equals "no finish time."
• Everyone must wear a bib number. No bandits!
