Veterans Memorial 5K

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

 - The Cemetery, one of only 147 National Cemeteries in the entire country, opened in 1867. Since 1984, the non-profit Regional National Cemetery Improvement Corporation has raised money to purchase and clear land to expand Fayetteville National Cemetery. The purchases, since turned over to federal government, have more than tripled the size of the Cemetery. But Fayetteville National Cemetery gets closer to full every day.  The Veterans Memorial 5K is our largest fundraiser.  Right now we don't have enough funds for another lot purchase. Please help us get more land!

Water will be provided along the course and road crossings are guarded. The 5K course will begin near the entrance to the Fayetteville National Cemetery, 700 S. Government Blvd., but was substantially revised in 2014, thanks to completion of the trail to the north of the Cemetery.  That course will be used again this year.

 - We will begin the race by circling the Cemetery.
