-) 2017 Ives Farm Tractor Trot 5K:
it's a race like no other! No asphalt! No pavement!
The Cheshire Land Trust presents the 2nd Annual Ives Farm Tractor Trot 5K on Saturday, October 28th, at 10 a.m. Runners and walkers are welcome! The unique course is set on a working farm. It is beautiful. You'll traverse woodlands, circle planting and hay fields, and run alongside the Quinnipiac River on trails and farm paths. The course begins and ends at the farm's iconic red timber-frame barn.
A live band, food, an awards ceremony, festivities and conservation / environment expo await the runners at the finish.
This is a tough race, but it's fun! Many participants (and their fans) wear costumes. There are surprises in the woods (good ones!), and you are also encouraged to bring cowbells and horns!
Day of race walk-ups are welcome! (TT5K shirt guaranteed only for online registration up to 10/15/17)
- The course is a challenge (no whining!), but it's fun and beautiful with woodland, pasture, planting fields and river scenery.
