_ The 2018 Brookshire Memorial 5K & Fun Run:

The Auburn Firefighters Association is putting on a 5k to Honor Auburn Fallen Firefighter Capt. Roger L. Brookshire.

Brookshire died Jan. 23, 1977, after responding to a medical call where a man had been electrocuted after a HAM radio antenna was stuck in a power line.

All Proceeds will go to benefit The National Fallen Firefighter Foundation:
OUR MISSION IS TO HONOR AND REMEMBER AMERICA'S FALLEN FIRE HEROES, TO PROVIDE RESOURCES TO ASSIST THEIR SURVIVORS IN REBUILDING THEIR LIVES, AND WORK WITHIN THE FIRE SERVICE COMMUNITY TO REDUCE FIREFIGHTER DEATHS AND INJURIES.

Event details and schedule

Join us for a great race, fire truck display, Aubie, and more! Packet pick up will begin at 7:00am on Race Day.

Briefing at 7:40 and the 1 Mile Fun Run to start at 8:00am followed by the 5K at 8:30. Awards for the 5K

Sign up for the 5K by January 15th to guarantee a shirt!
