2nd Annual 5K for the Kids, City of Plantation Parks and Recreation Scholarship Fund...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

** For online registrations after 7:30 AM on Friday, Dec. 2nd, packets will be available on race day only. **

The course will take you through the tree lined streets of Plantation with the last mile around the lake in Central Park and finishing on the track.

Join the City of Plantation Parks & Recreation Department for their 2nd Annual 5K for the Kids. This event will help raise money for their Parks and Recreation Scholarship Fund which helps to provide a safe and enjoyable summer camp experience for those children whose parents are unable to afford the cost of the City’s recreation programs. Last year, 23 children were able to attend our summer camp program with the help of the funds raised at the City’s inaugural 2016 5K for the Kids. 100% of the proceeds from this event will provide additional funding for the continued success of the Parks and Recreation Scholarship Fund.

• Short sleeve tech shirt to the first 400 registrants
• Race begins at 7:30 AM from Central Park Drive
• Kid’s fun run around the Central Park track following the 5K (Registration for the kid’s fun run includes a t-shirt)
• Award ceremony following the 5K and kid’s run
• 5K Medals to the Top 3 Overall Male & Female participants / Overall Masters Male & Female; Top 3 Male & Female age group winners for the following age categories: 8 & under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 –over

-On event day, please enter the park from either Broward Blvd. and Central Park Dr. or Cleary Blvd. and NW 91st Ave. as road closures will begin at 6 AM.
